How Watching Exchange Rates Replaces Reading the News

Another useful side of tracking exchange rates in real time is that I learn about world events without reading the news.
I do not have time to read the media right now, but in the evening before bed I check the rate to decide whether to swap USD for EUR.
Today I saw a sharp drop in the dollar, decided to see why, and here it is, matching the timing precisely:
